หน้าฝนแบบนี้ต้องระวังโรคที่มาพร้อมกับยุงลาย ที่ระบาดอย่างมากในช่วงหน้าฝน ได้แก่ โรคชิคุนกุนยา หรือโรคไข้ปวดข้อยุงลาย และโรคไข้เลือดออก เป็นโรคติดเชื้อที่เกิดจากเชื้อไวรัส มียุงลายเป็นพาหะนำโรค เกิดขึ้นได้กับทุกเพศ ทุกวัย แม้กระทั่งในเด็กเล็ก

ไข้เลือดออก โรคติดต่อที่เกิดจากเชื้อไวรัสเดงกี่ แพร่สู่ร่างกายคนจากการกัดของยุงลายตัวเมีย ผู้ป่วยจะมีไข้สูง มีอาการป่วยรุนแรงกว่าไข้หวัดธรรมดา

อาการโรคไข้เลือดออก
ไข้สูงลอย, ผื่นแดงจำนวนมาก, ปวดเมื่อยน้อยกว่า, เกล็ดเลือดต่ำ-มีเลือดออก, ควรรีบพบแพทย์ทันทีถ้ามีอาการ

โรคชิคุนกุนยา (Chikungunya) หรือ โรคไข้ปวดข้อยุงลาย เป็นโรคติดเชื้อที่เกิดจากเชื้อไวรัส โดยมียุงลายเป็นพาหะนำโรค สามารถเกิดขึ้นได้กับทุกเพศ ทุกวัย แม้กระทั่งในเด็กเล็ก โรคนี้จะมีอาการคล้ายกับโรคไข้เลือดออก แต่ต่างกันที่ไม่มีการรั่วของพลาสมาออกนอกเส้นเลือด จึงไม่พบผู้ป่วยโรคชิคุนกุนยาที่มีอาการรุนแรงมากจนถึงมีอาการช็อก

อาการของโรคชิคุนกุนยา
เชื้อไวรัสชิคุนกุนยามีระยะฟักตัว 3-7 วัน หลังจากถูกยุงลายกัด และเมื่อครบระยะฟักตัว จะมีอาการดังนี้
ไข้สูงขึ้นอย่างเฉียบพลัน
ผื่นแดงตามร่างกาย
ตาแดง
ปวดกล้ามเนื้อและปวดตามข้อ

ทุกคนมีโอกาสเสี่ยงต่อการเป็นโรคชิคุนกุนยา และโรคไข้เลือดออกได้ทั้งนั้น ดังนั้น ควรระวังและป้องกันไม่ให้ถูกยุงกัดด้วยการกำจัดแหล่งน้ำขัง ซึ่งเป็นแหล่งเพาะพันธุ์ยุง ทาโลชั่นกันยุง สวมใส่เสื้อผ้าให้มิดชิด โดยเฉพาะในเด็กเล็ก ที่คุณพ่อคุณแม่ควรเฝ้าระวังและป้องกันลูกน้อยจากยุงลาย
